$340,000 RAISED DURING PRAN PRATISTHA CEREMONY

Shree Pashupatinath Foundation, USA raised about $340,000.00 (Three Hundred Forty Thousand Dollars) during the three-day Pran Pratistha Ceremony of deities’ images at Shree Pashupatinath & Buddha Mandir held on February 11-13, 2018. The program was a grand success; about 2,500 devotees visited the temple during the ceremony, 18 devotees donated $11,111.11 each, over 100 devotees donated $501 each for the Murtis, and numerous others contributed cash and checks for the Pran Pratistha Puja.

The Foundation expresses its sincere gratitude to all the devotees who visited the temple, donated for the temple, and volunteered during this historic ceremony; the volunteers worked tirelessly to make this ceremony a grand event. The temple is now open to the public, and we heartily welcome our valued community members to the temple. Please visit our website for the temple opening hours.

Our Shree Pashupatinath and Buddha Mandir is the greatest achievement of the diaspora Nepalese community residing in Southern California; the dream of the Southern California-based Nepalis to have a temple of their own has become a reality. This huge project would not have been possible without the united efforts of our community members who have donated from a penny to over $135,000, who have devoted their valuable time in accomplishing the mission of the Foundation, and who have utilized their expertise in every step of its construction. We are proud that our temple replicates the Nepalese religious characteristics, and we hope this temple will be instrumental in preserving and promoting our age-old language, religion, culture, identity, and tradition in the United States. The Foundation is committed to cooperating and collaborating with the local Nepalese community organizations in providing the best service to our community.

We express our sincerest gratitude to our valued donors, community members, representatives of local community organizations, advisors, entrepreneurs, journalists, volunteers, and professionals for their continued support and cooperation. Please feel free to visit our office or email us at [email protected] if you have any suggestions or comments.
